The Searchlight portal simplifies the property search process for your Council
The Search Process

After receiving the Search request form Searchlight Technology, you have two workflow options:

1. you can proceed in the normal way and simply upload the search documents you have created and submit them

2.  you can use the embedded templates to populate with the search data and submit them. This model guides you through the process to ensure the accuracy, completeness and quality of the search.

All searches and associated documents are maintained in the portal for future reference and re-use. Searches can be filtered to show those pending, in progress or completed.

What's in it for Councils?

 

The Searchlight Portal:

  • removes the need for opening emails and forwarding data to council staff.
     

  •  allows council staff to input information to the portal and track the progress of the search. 
     

  • allows searches to be uploaded directly to the portal, thus saving the need to print and scan documents.
     

  • automatically notifies the customer that the searches are ready for download.
     

  • manages payments for searches through the secure Stripe Payment Gateway, specifically: 

    • payments received will be automatically credited to the nominated Council bank account 

    • full audit trails and reconciliations of all payments are available 

    • the customer is provided with a receipt for payment.
       

  • reduces Council staff time required to execute the required searches.
     

  • saves Council credit card merchant fees.
